Love IS

Posted by Lisa on May 17th, 2010

There are times when I fail to follow this law like the way my Lord so does, so is.

John 13:35 “By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.

I do believe when we fail to love we reject Jesus Christ, because He is love. Though it may not have been our intentions, but ultimately this is what happens. Sadly.

Let’s remind ourselves shall we?

1 Corin 13:

3 If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, b but have not love, I gain nothing.

4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. 11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. 12 Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

So let’s be loving, shall we? :)

In His Love,
Lisa

Seek Find Not

Posted by Lisa on May 16th, 2010

There are those that seek Jesus with all their heart and others whom seek Him with dishonourable intentions. However, in the act of their wickedness they come to see Him and find out that they could only ‘condemn’ Him for the love that He is. Moreso, will even come to find that the magnitude of His love, grace and mercy far outweighs the discrete ideology of the mind.

Either way, all tongues shall confess that Jesus is Lord. One way or the other.  :)

(Phil 2:11)
And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

God bless.

Cross of Laminin

Posted by Lisa on May 3rd, 2010

God holds our lives together in more ways than we even realize.

Take a look at the follow photo:
Laminin

“Laminins are major proteins in the basal lamina (formerly improperly called “basement membrane”), a protein network foundation for most cells and organs. The laminins are an important and biologically active part of the basal lamina, influencing cell differentiation, migration, adhesion as well as phenotype and survival.”

Basically, Laminin is the substance in our body that helps in our bodies’ adhesiveness or “holds us together”. Funny how its shape is in the form of the cross.

Was just reading an article and the author stated that “Thousands of years before the world knew anything about laminin, Paul penned those words.”  I couldn’t agree more. God made us intelligent beings, with His gift we so developed incredible technology. When we research everything around us, and more so research within our own beings, we find that the very nature of our body points to our Lord!

(Col 1:15-17 )

15:  He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.

16:  For by Him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities-all things were created through Him and for Him.

17:  And He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.

(Col 1:19-20 [KJV])

19: For it pleased the Father that in Him should all fulness dwell;

20: And, having made peace through the blood of His cross, by Him to reconcile all things unto Himself; by Him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.

There is so much around us and as we can see, in us that points to our Lord Jesus Christ. Don’t know how anyone could not give God all the glory.

I don’t mean to be blunt, but hey, this is what the Bible says, and after all the evidence that points to the Almighty God, creator of Heaven and Earth…

Psalms 14:1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

God is great! There is no other, none but One, good, merciful, awesome, everlasting, kind, understanding, solid, never changing, gracious, peace bringing, loving, lovable, glorious, faithful, worthy, powerful God!

Praise the Lord! Blessed be His holy name. :D :D :D

Faith-Worry Scale

Posted by Lisa on May 2nd, 2010

The big bang of the message at service today for myself was that our faith in God depends on the amount of worry we put into our lives, our problems. Basically, if one worries less, then their faith in God goes up. On the other hand, if one worries a lot, that is if their worry rate is high, then their faith in God goes down. I should really be using the 1st person plural, because I’m sure that many of us have indeed worried a bit too much about our problems, and not trusting our Lord Jesus Christ to deliver us from these problems. We will never forget our problems, we every once in a blue moon would take a glance at these problems, but all the long we must keep our focus on Jesus Christ.

faith-worry scale

As the Book of Hebrews states, where there is no faith, God cannot be pleased. (Hebrews 11:6)

So, after saying that, how should our individual faith-worry scale look? Is our faith in God high up there?

Something for us all to think about.
