Hallelujah For Life

No matter how you’re feeling, always remember the following verse:
Psalms 118:24 “This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.”

Additionally, I’d just like our Heavenly Father to know:

Hallelujah for my eyes, to see Your creation
Hallelujah for the touch, of my skin to feel You through the wind
Hallelujah for this mind, that ponders Your Word
Hallelujah for Your spirit, that keeps our souls combined
Hallelujah for life, and having me as Your child
I have Your strength to stay alive.

Why Believe the Bible

Today I was watching one of James Merritt’s sermons (dated June 12, 2005), which I just had to share. If you’re a Christian many unbelievers will come to you and say that the Bible is full of fables, hold your ground and get the facts.
Why believe the Bible, simply put, Jesus said in John 17:17 “Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.”

The Bible is historically reliable.
The Bible is scientifically realistic  (principles of modern science were already recorded in the Bible!)
The Bible is prophetically correct
The Bible is personally relevant

Pray with your heart

In order to understand God and to grow closer to Him, all Christians are called to live a life full of prayer, worship and reading of the Holy Bible. Some Christians might find themselves doing two of the three at the same time, for instance, during fellowship gatherings, we may all be singing gloriously to our Lord Jesus, then somewhere in between that moment, I find myself in deep spiritual prayer. It so happens, that this form of communicating with God is the idea of this post. I believe the shortest time between a problem and a solution, is the … Read morePray with your heart

Christ Gives Rest to the heavy laden

Before I accepted Christ, I was always worried about issues in my life, worrying about the past, the present and about tomorrow. Not too long ago, I was on messenger, and a friend of mine asked me if I am now a Christian. I replied “Yes, Christ is Lord”. Then my friend responded, “hmmm, is there something else?”. After which I responded with:
“What do you mean? Christ is Lord and I have accepted Him as my Saviour. I want to go to heaven and I’ll only get there by believing and following His laws.”
Maybe a bit bland, but that’s how … Read moreChrist Gives Rest to the heavy laden

In Christ Alone

In Christ Alone
Written by: Keith Getty and Stuart Townend (2002)
In Christ alone my hope is found,
He is my light, my strength, my song;
this Cornerstone, this solid Ground,
firm through the fiercest drought and storm.
What heights of love, what depths of peace,
when fears are stilled, when strivings cease!
My Comforter, my All in All,
here in the love of Christ I stand.
In Christ alone! who took on flesh
Fulness of God in helpless babe!
This gift of love and righteousness
Scorned by the ones he came to save:
Till on that cross as Jesus died,
The wrath of God was satisfied –
For every sin on Him was laid;
Here in … Read moreIn Christ Alone

Clay Balls

Clay Balls
A man was exploring caves by the Seashore. In one of the caves he found a canvas bag with a bunch of hardened clay balls. It was like someone had rolled clay balls and left them out in the sun to bake. They didn’t look like much, but they intrigued the man, so he took the bag out of the cave with him. As he strolled along the beach, he would throw the clay balls one at a time out into the ocean as far as he could.
He thought … Read moreClay Balls

A Brief Look at Christian Baptism

Written by: Pastor Mark Blair
February 2010
The Risen Lord Jesus Christ commands His followers to be baptized. Through this symbolic act the believer is identified with the Lord and His Church. Baptism is a symbol of new life in Christ, a seal of the covenant of grace, and a sign of the forgiveness of sins. Water is an outward symbol for the inward work of the Holy Spirit. Baptism is for those who have repented and believe in the Lord Jesus.
The origins of Christian baptism are found in the Old Testament. The Law of Moses dictated ceremonial washing for priests … Read moreA Brief Look at Christian Baptism
