*Mat 6:33* But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.
As we go into 2013, let us meditate on this verse. Notice it doesn’t say seek the provisions or the hand of the Lord but His Kingdom and righteousness. We receive all that God has in store for us when we walk according to His ways.
I am not sure where the idea of a new year’s resolution came from, but it wouldn’t be a bad thing to make one for 2013. I’ve decided to ask God for help so that I can put Him a lot more first in my ways. I say to my soul God is the greatest, and He is. But as long as I am in my earthly tent, I fall short. In areas that I fall short, I need to acknowledge His righteousness more. That means more prayer, more stillness and less independence.
*Pro 3:5-6* Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding. Acknowledge Him in all your ways, and He will make your paths straight.
